Turn the calendar into learning

Each of these dates is a chance to teach your child something: the night journey at Isra and Mi'raj, why we fast in Ramadan, the story of Ibrahim عليه السلام at Eid al-Adha, and the Hijrah at the Islamic New Year. Our Islamic Studies teachers build lessons around the dates as they come round.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why do Islamic dates change every year?
The Islamic calendar follows the moon, so its year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year. Each Islamic date arrives roughly 11 days earlier every year.
Why can the date differ between countries?
Each month begins with the sighting of the new moon. Countries and communities follow different sightings or calculations, so a date can differ by a day.
Which Islamic year does 2027 cover?
Most of 2027 falls in 1448 AH. The year 1449 AH is expected to begin around 6 June 2027.
What do the classes cost?
Plans start at $39 a month (£30, €36) for 8 one-to-one classes, with no registration fee. Siblings get a 10% family discount from the second child, and the first 3 classes are free.
