Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
About These Terms
These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and Online Quran Lessons (www.onlinequranlessons.com) when you use our website or subscribe to our classes. By creating an account or booking a class, you accept these terms.
If you are booking classes for a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these terms on their behalf.
Our Service
Online Quran Lessons provides one-to-one online Quran classes delivered live by qualified tutors over video call. Subscriptions are billed monthly and include a set number of classes per week, depending on the plan you choose.
New students can take a free trial class before subscribing, with no payment details required for the trial.
Your Account
You need an account to book classes. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Accounts must be created by adults. A parent or guardian manages the account for any student under 18.
Scheduling and Missed Classes
Classes run at the times agreed between you and your tutor. We know life happens, so we keep our rescheduling policy simple:
- If you need to move a class, tell us at least 24 hours in advance and we will reschedule it at no cost
- Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are counted as taken
- If your tutor cancels or misses a class for any reason, it is always rescheduled or credited to you in full
- If a student is more than 15 minutes late without notice, the tutor may end the session and it counts as taken
Payments and Renewals
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance by card or PayPal through our third-party payment processors. Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by emailing hello@onlinequranlessons.com. Cancellation stops future charges; classes already paid for remain available until the end of the current billing period. If we change our prices, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price applies to your plan.
Conduct and Communication
We expect a respectful, safe learning environment for students and tutors alike. You agree not to record classes without consent, harass or mistreat tutors, share your subscription with people outside your household, or use the service for anything unlawful.
All communication between students (or parents) and tutors must go through our official channels — the class platform and the contact methods we provide. Arranging private lessons or payments directly with a tutor outside the platform is not permitted and may result in account closure. This rule protects students, parents, and tutors alike.
Lesson Materials
The lesson plans, worksheets, recordings, and other materials we provide are owned by Online Quran Lessons or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal study or your child's study, but you may not republish, resell, or distribute them.
The text of the Quran itself belongs to no one; this section applies only to the teaching materials we create around it.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses tutors or staff, or fails to pay. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
You may close your account at any time. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of your current billing period.
Limitation of Liability
We work hard to deliver reliable classes, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service — internet outages, tutor illness, and technical problems can occasionally disrupt lessons. When they do, our responsibility is to reschedule or credit the affected classes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing Law and Changes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, unless the mandatory law of another jurisdiction applies. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion — email us and we will genuinely try to resolve the issue.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will email account holders at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
