What Advanced Tajweed covers
The Advanced Tajweed Course is an in-depth study of the rules that govern precise Quranic recitation, covering articulation points (makharij), letter characteristics (sifaat), and the full system of recitation rules. It is designed for students who already read the Quran and now want to understand why each rule exists and how to apply it with consistency. Classes combine short theory explanations with intensive listening and recitation drills.
The syllabus works through the classical tajweed curriculum in order: the rules of noon sakinah and tanween (izhar, idgham, iqlab, ikhfa), the rules of meem sakinah, every category of madd with its correct length, qalqalah, ghunnah, and the detailed makharij and sifaat of all letters. The final stage covers waqf and ibtida, the art of choosing where to stop and where to resume so the meaning stays intact.
Every rule is tested in two ways: the student explains it in their own words, then demonstrates it in unprepared recitation. This pairing of theory and performance is what separates students who know tajweed from students who merely know about it. Graduates are well prepared to pursue an Ijazah or to teach beginners themselves.

What is the difference between this course and Quran Reading with Tajweed?
This course teaches tajweed as a complete science, while Quran Reading with Tajweed teaches fluent reading with essential rules applied along the way. Here you study terminology, rule categories, makharij, and sifaat in depth, and you are assessed on both explanation and performance.
Do I need to be fluent in Quran reading before joining?
Yes, comfortable fluency is required. Because classes analyse recitation in fine detail, students who still hesitate over basic reading benefit far more from our Quran Reading with Tajweed course first. A short placement recitation in your trial class confirms the right starting point.
Will this course prepare me for an Ijazah?
It is the standard preparation for one. Graduates of Level 3 have covered the full rule system an Ijazah examiner expects, including madd counts, makharij, and waqf. Many students move directly into our Ijazah Program and continue with a sanad-holding teacher.
Is the course based on a specific tajweed text?
