  • First fast (1 Ramadan): Monday 8 February 2027 — Taraweeh begins the evening before, Sunday 7 February

A simple Ramadan Quran plan for children

The Quran resting on a wooden rehal stand

Children do not need an adult's target to have a meaningful Ramadan. A small goal they actually finish means more than a big one they give up on. Pick one or two of these for your child:

  • Ages 4–6: learn three new short surahs and the duas for breaking the fast
  • Ages 7–10: read a set number of pages every day, or finish a Juz over the month
  • Ages 11+: aim to complete the Quran with an adult, or memorise a new surah
  • Everyone: learn the meaning of one surah, and make dua at iftar together

Quran classes during Ramadan

An open Quran with Arabic script

Our classes carry on through Ramadan, and we can move your child's class to a time that suits your family's new routine — earlier in the day, or after iftar. Just tell us before Ramadan starts.

Many parents also use Ramadan to add a Ramadan-focused topic to their child's lessons: the story of the first revelation, why we fast, Laylat al-Qadr, and the duas of the month.

If your child is not yet in Quran classes, the weeks before Ramadan are the best time to start: the routine is settled by the time the month begins. Book 3 free trial classes now — no card needed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, with the first Taraweeh on the evening of Sunday 7 February. The exact date depends on the moon sighting in your country.
When is Eid al-Fitr 2027?
Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March or Wednesday 10 March 2027, depending on whether Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days.
Can my child's class time change during Ramadan?
Yes. Tell us the time that suits your family's Ramadan routine and we will move the class.
Can we pause classes if we travel for Ramadan or Eid?
Yes. You can pause rather than pay for classes nobody can attend, and any unused balance carries over to the next month.
What do the classes cost?
Plans start at $39 a month (£30, €36) for 8 one-to-one classes, with no registration fee. Siblings get a 10% family discount from the second child, and the first 3 classes are free.
