Understand the meaning of the Quran
Reading the Quran correctly is the first step; knowing what Allah is saying is the next. In this course the teacher reads a passage with the student, gives the translation of each verse in plain English or Urdu, explains the key words, and draws out the message of the passage in a way the student can relate to.
The course usually begins with Juz Amma — the short surahs most students already recite in Salah — so the meanings are immediately useful, and then continues through the Quran in order or by theme.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to read Arabic to take this course?
Reading helps but is not required for adults — the teacher can read while you follow the translation. Children usually take it after or alongside Quran reading.
Which translation do you use?
Teachers rely on well-known, widely accepted English translations and explain differences of wording where they matter.
Is this the same as Tafseer?
Translation gives the meaning of the words; Tafseer goes further into context, rulings and scholarly explanation. This course is the natural first step before our Tafseer course.
Is it available in Urdu?
