Learn to recite the Quran fluently and accurately
Most people find Tajweed hard because they meet all the rules at once, in a book, without hearing them. In a live one-to-one class the order is reversed: the teacher recites, you copy, and the rule is named only after you can already hear the difference. That is the easy way.
The course moves from the points of articulation (makharij) and characteristics of the letters, to the rules of noon and meem sakinah, the types of madd, qalqalah, and stopping and starting correctly — each applied immediately in the surahs you are reading.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know the names of the rules?
Eventually, yes, but you learn the sound first and the name second. By the end of the course you will know both.
How long does the Tajweed course take?
Typically six to twelve months at three classes a week, depending on your starting level and practice.
Can a beginner take this course?
You need to be able to read Arabic words. If you cannot yet, start with Noorani Qaida — basic Tajweed is built into it.
Do you teach Tajweed for adults?
Yes, many of our Tajweed students are adults. Classes are private and scheduled around work.
