Why start with beliefs

A girl in a teal hijab reading an Islamic storybook on a prayer mat while her female teacher waves from a laptop

Everything a Muslim does rests on what they believe. A child who understands that Allah sees them, loves them and hears every dua prays differently, reads the Quran differently and treats people differently.

Children growing up in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or Europe are also asked about their faith early — by classmates, teachers and friends. Aqeedah lessons give them calm, confident answers in their own words.

What your child learns

Three smiling children, two girls in hijab and a boy in a kufi, reading the Quran on rehals together

Lessons build up gently, from the first ideas a young child can hold on to:

  • Tawheed — Allah is One, and nothing is like Him
  • Some of Allah's beautiful names and what they mean
  • The six articles of faith (Iman)
  • Angels, the revealed books and the Prophets
  • The Day of Judgement, Jannah and the meaning of good deeds
  • Qadr — trusting Allah's plan
  • The Kalimahs, learned with their meanings
  • Answering common questions children are asked about Islam

See how your child gets on — the first 3 classes are free.

How the lessons are taught

Illustration of a supervised online class with a parent watching

Each class is a live 30-minute lesson with one teacher. Ideas are explained with everyday examples a child recognises, and your child is encouraged to ask questions — there is no such thing as a silly one.

Young children learn through short stories and repetition; older children talk through the reasons behind each belief. You can sit in on any class, and every class is supervised for teaching quality.

Aqeedah is taught as part of our Islamic Studies course, together with worship, the Seerah and good manners. One teacher can cover Quran and Islamic Studies in the same weekly plan.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my child too young for Aqeedah?
Children can start from about 4 with the simplest ideas — Allah is One, He made everything, He hears our duas. The detail grows as your child does.
What if my child asks a hard question?
That is welcome. Teachers answer at your child's level, and if a question needs more time they come back to it in the next class.
Which language are the lessons in?
English. If Urdu is easier for your child, ask when you book and we will try to arrange it.
Can I sit in on the lessons?
Yes, any lesson, without notice. Every class is also supervised for teaching quality.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $39 a month (£30, €36) for 8 one-to-one classes. There is no registration fee, all materials are included, and siblings get a 10% family discount from the second child. The first 3 classes are free.
