The short version

Illustration of a supervised online class with a parent watching

The short answer: you send us a message, we book 3 free one-to-one trial classes at a time that suits you, the teacher checks your child's level, and if you are happy you pick a monthly plan. Your child then has the same teacher at the same time every week, in a live 30-minute class on Zoom, Google Meet or Skype.

Nothing is paid until after the free classes, and no card is asked for to book them.

What a class looks like

A boy in a kufi making dua on a prayer mat while his Islamic Studies teacher smiles on a laptop

Each class is one teacher and one child — never a group. The teacher shares the lesson page on screen, your child reads aloud, and every mistake is corrected there and then. A typical class has a short revision of the last lesson, new work, and a little Islamic Studies such as a dua or a part of salah, depending on the course.

Every class is supervised by a female supervisor, who checks teaching quality. Parents can join and watch any class at any time during the lesson, with no notice needed.

  • Live one-to-one, 30 minutes
  • The same teacher every week
  • Zoom, Google Meet or Skype
  • A female supervisor checks every class
  • Parents can watch any lesson, any time
  • Progress feedback for parents

What your child needs at home

A mother and her young son smiling at their Quran teacher on a tablet

You do not need to buy anything — all learning materials are included. You do need a few simple things in place:

  • A laptop, tablet or large phone with a working camera and microphone
  • Headphones, so your child hears every sound clearly
  • A steady internet connection
  • A quiet spot away from the TV and siblings
  • A table or a rehal for the book, if the teacher asks for one
  • An adult nearby, especially for younger children

Changing things later

A boy studying the Quran with a magnifying glass and a translation book while his teacher explains on a laptop

Family life changes, and classes should be able to change with it. You are not locked into a contract, and most changes take one WhatsApp message.

  • Change teacher at any time, free
  • Move your class time, including for Ramadan
  • Reschedule a missed class with notice
  • Pause classes for travel — unused balance carries to next month
  • Add or drop classes per week
  • Cancel any time, with no long-term contract
