A young town with a long drive to class

A mother and her young son smiling at their Quran teacher on a tablet

Milton has grown quickly, and many of its Muslim families live in newer neighbourhoods full of young children. Weekday Quran classes close to home can be hard to find, so a lot of parents end up driving to Mississauga or Oakville on Saturday and Sunday — an hour or more there and back for a class where each child reads for a few minutes. An online class gives your child the same teacher every week without leaving the house.

Built around a commuting parent

Illustration of a flexible 24/7 class schedule

When one or both parents commute into Toronto or Mississauga, the evening is short: home after six, dinner, homework, bed. A 30-minute class fits into that window, and because classes run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you can pick a time that suits your household rather than a madrasa timetable. Parents can sit in on any class, from the next room or on their phone.

  • Weekday slots after school or after dinner, in Eastern Time
  • Weekend mornings that leave the rest of the day free
  • Male or female teacher, same fee
  • Siblings back to back on the same evening

Through the Ontario school year

A smiling girl reading the Quran on a rehal while her female teacher listens on a laptop and her mother looks on

Ontario school runs from September to late June, with a winter break and March Break. Your slot stays fixed through the year and when the clocks change; in the dark, icy months there is no driving at all. If you travel in the summer, classes can be paused and any unused balance carried to the next month.
