When the evening class is full

Illustration of a flexible 24/7 class schedule

Peel Region has a large Muslim community, and evening Quran classes in Mississauga, Brampton and Milton are often busy. With one teacher and many children, each child reads for only a few minutes, and the same mistakes can go uncorrected for years. A one-on-one class works differently: the teacher listens only to your child for the whole lesson and makes sure every mistake is fixed before moving on.

Alongside your local class, or instead of it

Some families keep their local class for the community and friendships and add two online classes a week for pronunciation and Tajweed. Others switch completely, especially for younger children or when the evening drive on the 401 or 403 is too much. We teach Noorani Qaida, the beginner book most local classes use, so a child moving between the two will recognise every page.

English lessons, Urdu if you want it

A wooden takhti slate with the first Urdu letters written on it

Many Peel families have Pakistani, Indian, Afghan, Arab or Somali heritage and speak Urdu, Punjabi, Dari or Arabic at home, while their children are most comfortable in English. Our teachers teach in clear English, and Urdu is also one of our teaching languages, so grandparents can follow along too.
