The first three months, explained
Never read Arabic before? Start with the letters and sounds and progress to reading the Quran — gently, privately and at your own pace.
The basics course is the Noorani Qaida path taught step by step: recognising the 28 letters, hearing and copying each sound from its correct place in the mouth, adding the short vowels, then joining letters into words. Once words come easily, the student begins reading short surahs from the mushaf.
Nothing is assumed. If the student has never seen Arabic, the first lesson starts with the alphabet; if they know a little, the teacher finds the right starting point in the trial class.
Beginners need patience more than anything. Our teachers are chosen for it. Lessons are private, so there is no embarrassment about mistakes, and the same teacher stays with you so progress builds week on week. Adults, children and new Muslims are all welcome.
