Quran Classes for Kids
Short, lively one-to-one lessons built around a child's attention span, with a teacher who keeps them reading aloud.
30 min / session
Choosing how your child learns
Both can work. The difference is how much your child reads aloud, how quickly mistakes are caught, and what you pay for that. Here is a fair side-by-side.

The short answer: in a one-to-one class your child reads aloud for most of the lesson and every mistake is heard. In a group, the teacher's time is shared, so each child reads for a few minutes and some mistakes are missed. Groups usually cost less and have a social side that some children enjoy.
Learning to recite the Quran is mostly a listening-and-correcting skill. That is why individual reading time matters more here than in many other subjects.

A fair comparison of the two, point by point:
| One-to-one | Group | |
|---|---|---|
| Attention | The teacher listens to one child for the whole lesson | Shared between all the children in the class |
| Reading time | Most of the lesson | A few minutes each, depending on group size |
| Pace | Set by your child — faster or slower as needed | Set by the group; quick learners wait, others fall behind |
| Correction | Every mistake heard and fixed on the spot | Some mistakes slip through and become habits |
| Shy children | No audience, so they read more freely | Can hide, or feel nervous reading in front of others |
| Cost | Higher per lesson | Usually lower per lesson |
| Scheduling | Fixed around your family; easier to move | Fixed by the class timetable |
| Social side | Just the child and teacher | Friends, shared learning and a sense of community |
Group sizes and teaching quality vary a lot, so judge any class by watching it.

Group classes are not a bad choice. For some children and some goals they are a perfectly good one:

We teach live one-to-one only — never a group class. Our main students are children, many of them beginners, and that is exactly the stage where uncorrected mistakes cost the most. A letter read wrongly a few hundred times is much harder to fix later than in the first week.
One-to-one also lets us offer things a group cannot: a male or female teacher of your choice, a time that fits your family, classes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the freedom to change teacher at any time, free.
To keep the cost reasonable, classes are 30 minutes and plans start at $30 a month, with a 10% family discount from the second child and a 10% discount for low-income families.

The best way to compare is to see it. Book 3 free one-to-one classes, sit in, and notice how much your child reads and how often they are corrected. Then decide.
