Where beginners start
Everyone who cannot yet read Arabic begins with Noorani Qaida: the letters, their shapes in different positions, short and long vowels, and how letters join into words. It is the same foundation used by teachers everywhere, taught here one-to-one so every sound is checked before you move on.
Once you can read words, you move to the Quran itself, reading short surahs with Tajweed while your teacher corrects each verse.

It depends on age, class frequency and practice, but a common pattern is three to six months to finish the Qaida with two or three classes a week, followed by steady Quran reading from there. We would rather tell you honestly that it takes months than promise weeks.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
I don't know a single Arabic letter. Is that okay?
Yes. Noorani Qaida assumes nothing. The first lesson starts with the first letter, and the teacher checks your pronunciation of each one before moving on.
Do I need to learn Arabic as a language first?
No. Reading the Quran means recognising letters and sounds, not understanding grammar. Many students add our Arabic course later to understand what they read.
Am I too old to start?
No. Adult beginners of every age learn with us, and one-to-one classes mean there is no embarrassment about pace.
Is Tajweed taught to beginners?
Yes, gradually. Correct pronunciation is built in from the first letter, and formal Tajweed rules are added as you begin reading the Quran.
How many classes a week should a beginner take?
Two or three 30-minute classes a week is a good start. It keeps the letters fresh without overwhelming a child or a busy adult.
Which books or materials do I need?
None. The Qaida and Quran pages are shared on screen during class, and any practice material is sent digitally.
